What to do in Milan?
Milan is a city where history, fashion, art and very serious opinions about coffee all live comfortably side by side. Start in the city center at the Duomo di Milano, then walk through the elegant Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and continue toward Teatro alla Scala and the streets of Brera.
For a different side of the city, visit Castello Sforzesco and nearby Parco Sempione, or head south toward the Navigli district. The canals, restaurants and evening aperitivo atmosphere make Navigli one of the best places to slow down after a day of sightseeing.
And then there is the fashion. From the luxury boutiques of the Quadrilatero della Moda to independent shops and design districts, Milan makes window-shopping feel suspiciously like an activity with its own itinerary. Just remember that “I’m only looking” has a different meaning in Milan.
With CARWIZ, the city can also become the starting point for exploring Lombardy. Drive north toward Lake Como or Lake Maggiore for lakeside towns, mountain views and scenic roads that feel far removed from the pace of Milan. Both lakes can be reached from the city in roughly an hour, depending on your destination and traffic.
Whether you come for the Duomo, the design, the food or an excuse to order another espresso, having a car gives you the freedom to see both Milan and the landscapes beyond it at your own pace.
